Computer Engineering

Description of the field of study

 The study program includes issues related to designing IT systems for various applications in industry and in medical sector, students acquire knowledge and skills required in working as a system analyst or architect. Particular attention is also paid to information security and protection. Stress is also placed on making the teaching contents include information which is up-to-date and searched for in the job market, for example in such specialisation courses as: designing computer games, designing mobile systems, Internet of Things, ICT security, data warehouses, Big Data, Artificial Intelligence and its applications, cloud computing, distributed computing systems, multimedia systems, optimisation algorithms and methods.

The programs offered in this field are intended to provide the student with a solid background for further comprehensive development of competences and with the possibility to choose from a broad range of future education and career paths.

Specialisations

Computer Graphics and Multimedia Systems, Internet Engineering, IT System Engineering, Computer Systems and Networks, Applied Computer Engineering in Medicine

The graduate can 

independently solve complex IT problems, quickly adapt to a dynamically changing IT reality, design IT systems for various applications, design and manage security systems, employ intelligent computing methods in problem solving, use modern information technologies, manage a team and lead IT projects.

Enrolment conditions

Required degree: Engineer or Engineer MSc.

Allowed fields of completed studies: Computer Science, Technical Computer Science, Automation and Robotics, Electronic and Computer Engineering, Information and Communication Technology, Applied Computer Science,Algorithmic Computer Science.
