Description of the field of study

The programs provide knowledge and skills related to both hardware and software engineering. Specialist training laboratories allow students to work with professional hardware solutions, and courses on modern IT technologies (Big Data, Internet of Things, mobile systems) make them experts sought for in the job market. The study program includes topics related to: development and operation of computer and microprocessor systems, software engineering, designing, management and maintenance of IT systems,  designing and operation of databases and data warehouses, designing, development and operation of computer networks, advanced AI-based methods, designing and implementation of modern internet, mobile and multimedia systems, management of IT projects and teamwork.

Graduates find jobs in the biggest international corporations and in well-established Polish companies which offer IT systems and products, as well as in banks, government and self-government administration offices and in businesses which make use of IT systems. Typically, students find jobs already when in their final years at university. Graduates may be employed as: a software developer, a designer of IT systems (databases, internet and mobile systems, management systems, controllers and embedded systems, health care management systems, computer games), a designer and administrator of computer systems and networks, a software developer, designer of AI-based systems, a specialist in the security of IT systems and data protection systems, a member or a leader of a network system management team, a specialist in intelligent medical imaging systems, visual monitoring and inspection imaging in industry.
