  • We are the largest department at Wrocław University of Science and Technology and the largest one dealing with IT and telecommunications in Poland
  • Our scientists work closely with researchers who are employed at 363 universities in 49 countries. The result of this cooperation are 472 joint publications registered in the discipline of information and communication technology
  • We co-organize two international scientific conferences having category B in the CORE ranking. Based on the reports of the Springer publishing house, the total number of downloads of the papers published at these conferences has reached almost 4 million. This is the best result in Poland
  • We take an active part in the activities of the European Research Centre for Information Systems ERCIS, a network of over 20 leading universities in the field of information systems
  • We conduct classes in branches in Jelenia Góra and Wałbrzych
  • Computer Science (MSc. and Eng. programs) ranks third among the best fields of study in the country, according to the Perspektywy Ranking 2021
  • Applied computer science, in both Polish and English, is the most popular field of study at Wrocław University of Science and Technology in terms of the number of candidates per one place in 2021. The second and third places were respectively: system engineering and algorithmic computer science
  • Based on the National System for Monitoring the Economic Fortunes of University Graduates, our 2019 IT graduates are in the first place at Wrocław University of Science and Technology in terms of the median of average monthly earnings in the first year after graduation. The time needed by the average full-time graduate to find a full-time job was 0.08 months. The average salary from all sources in the first year after graduation in relation to the average salary in the place of residence was 1.75
  • We cooperate with domestic and foreign research units on five continents, with enterprises, economic organizations, as well as state and local government bodies. Our partners include: Credit Suisse, Google, IBM, Nokia, Microsoft, Polish IT Society, Wrocław City Hall and Volvo

  • We are first in Poland and 187th in the world in the 2020-2021 University Ranking by Academic Performance in the field of Artificial Intelligence, and we are third in Poland and 437th in the world in the field of Information & Computing Sciences
  • Six scientists from the Faculty belong to the elite group of the most influential people of science in the world according to the TOP 2% ranking prepared by Stanford University and the Elsevier BV publishing house. They are:

  • We are third in Poland and locate in places 501-550 in the world in the QS World University Rankings by Subject (Computer Science and Information Systems) for 2021
  • In the CWTS Leiden 2021 ranking, we are third in Poland by field (Mathematics and computer science), and 294th in general
