Starting on Monday, 23 September, the WUST campus will host a unique exhibition by Dr. Piotr Zabawa from the Department of Applied Computer Science. The “Bird Inspirations” exhibition presents 12 photos taken by the author while observing birds in their natural environment.
The exhibition will be available in two locations:
- the lobby of building A-1 (until 30 September),
- the lobby of building D-21 (until 10 October).
The exhibition will be officially opened on 4 October at 11:00 a.m. in the lobby of building D-21.
– The photos presented at my bird inspirations exhibition are a selection of those close to me, which trigger my greatest emotions and show some history in the background – says Dr. Piotr Zabawa. Being close to birds, in the of nature, he finds inner peace. This peace allows him to return to his scientific work with new strength and often with a new, fresh perspective.
– My best time to photograph birds is in the morning – during the so-called blue hour and the golden hour that follows it. That is when nature comes to life, to start the next day. Birds start to speak, first individually, and then with a gradually growing wave of sounds. The light at this time of day is also beautiful, changing with every moment. And photography is all about painting with light – explains Dr. Zabawa.
