A record number of young people from all over Poland visited our Faculty. As part of the Open Day, they were welcome by lecturers and students from student government and scientific clubs. The number of visitors exceeded our wildest expectations, and we are thankful to everyone who came!

Starting early morning, our Faculty, the main campus of our University and the C-13 building, where all the faculties presented their offer, were filled with high school students who came to WUST not only from the Lower Silesia region, but also from all over Poland. Future students of ICT, who wanted to learn more about our Faculty, came not only from Wrocław, Legnica, Wałbrzych, Świdnica, Milicz, Wołów or Góra, but also from Prudnik, Kędzierzyn-Koźle, Ostrzeszów, Częstochowa, Opole, and even from Szczecin and Lublin!

We realized already after the first lecture how very much high school students were interested in studying and then working in the IT business. Our guests barely fit in the largest lecture room, and the laboratory classes had to be repeated several times so that everyone could take part in them. Artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, algorithmics, computer systems, laser techniques, computer simulations or building a computer network were the most attractive topics to high school and technical school students.

The candidates asked questions not only to the lecturers, or to the students from the Faculty's self-government, who also showed future colleagues around the campus, but also to the representatives of the White Hats, TK Games and BioMedical AI science clubs.

The open day is not only an opportunity to talk about recruitment conditions or study programs in individual fields of study, but also to experience student life. Some visitors went to to the Student Center (SKS) for dinner, others danced the Chapelloise in front of C-1 and C-13 buildings. Our faculty pins with sayings by IT experts sold like hotcakes. We already know that next year we will need to prepare many, many more of them.
