The first meeting of the Advisory Board at the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology for the 2024-2028 term took place on Friday. The Board consists of 14 members, and its chairman is Jakub Mazur, the deputy mayor of Wrocław. The vice-chairmen are: Maciej Dziedzic (Nokia), Krzysztof Raszczuk (InsERT), and Janusz Wrobel (Neurosoft). Congratulations!
The meeting of the new Advisory Board at our Faculty began at noon on Friday, 28th March 2025. The participants were welcomed by the dean, Prof. Andrzej Kucharski, who spoke, among other things, about the role of the council and the Faculty itself.
– The Board is an advisory body at our Faculty, which is the largest faculty at Wrocław University of Science and Technology. We have over 4,500 students and 90 doctoral students. We have about 270 academic teachers who work full-time at the Faculty – explained the Dean.
Then he presented the appointment documents to the board members. One of the important points of the meeting was the election of the chairman and vice-chairmen of the board. The deputy mayor of Wrocław, Jakub Mazur, accepted the position of the chairman. It will be his second term in this role.
– Appointing chairpersons is a statutory regulation, but we are all equal. We all have a duty to support the Faculty. It's worth being active here and committing to something. We are required to consult on study programmes or internships, which may be an opportunity to acquire valuable employees. I would like to strengthen these elements – the chairman of the board explained.
The three additionally selected vice-chairmen are: Maciej Dziedzic from Nokia, Krzysztof Raszczuk from InsERT, and Janusz Wrobel from Neurosoft. The board also includes:
