Technical Committee on Computational Collective Intelligence, co-chaired by prof. Ngoc Thanh Nguyena, received the "Most Active TCs" award from IEEE SMC 2021.

The award was granted for the most significant scientific activities in 2020. The list of awards can be found here:

– I founded the committee in 2010, as during the international conference we organized, "International Conference on Computational Collective Intelligence - ICCCI", I met many people interested in this subject. The Committee was a very good form of integration of scientists and a forum for them – explains Prof. Ngoc Thanh Nguyen, founder of the Technical Committee on Computational Collective Intelligence and head of the Department of Applied Computer Science at our faculty.

Prof. Nguyen is not only the founder of the international committee, but also the chairman of the Collective Intelligence session at the Computer Science Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences and – as part of the IEEE SMC – Associate Editor of the prestigious IEEE Transactions on SMC – Systems journal, whose IF index is 13.40. https://ki.pan.pl/index.php/pl/struktura
The Technical Committee on Computational Collective Intelligence is a group of approx. 60 scientists from many universities around the world who conduct research in the field of Collective Computational Intelligence and organize joint events: conferences, special sessions, seminars sponsored by the IEEE SMC.

There are over 100 technical committees operating under the IEEE SMC. The group of scientists from many universities around the world also includes employees of our faculty: Adrianna Kozierkiewicz, PhD (Department of Applied Computer Science), Prof. Dariusz Król, Vice-Dean for General Affairs (Department of Applied Computer Science), Marcin Maleszka, PhD (Department of Applied Computer Science), Prof. Jerzy Świątek (Department of IT and System Engineering) and Prof. Bogdan Trawiński (Department of Applied Computer Science).

The IEEE SMC Association is a member of the IEEE organization with over 400,000 members. There are over 100 technical committees operating under the SMC.
