He was a researcher at the Department of Computer Systems and Networks.
He graduated from two faculties at Wrocław University of Science and Technology. In 1998 he graduated from Biomedical Engineering at the Faculty of Fundamental Problems of Technology, and in 2000 he was awarded MSc in computer science from the Faculty of Computer Science and Management. This is when he started work at the Department of Computer Systems and Networks, Faculty of Electronics at WUST. Three years later he was awarded his PhD. He was awarded the DSc degree in 2014. Prof. Robert Burduk is an author and co-author of more than 120 research publications. He also co-authored 6 monographic works published by the Springer publishing house. On many occasions he was also chair of the organizational committee of the CORES international conference dedicated to computer-aided recognition systems.

He worked at the Foundations of Computer Science Department. He attended both primary school and secondary school in Chojnów (Lower Silesia). Between 1990 and 1995 he studied at the Institute of Computer Science, Wrocław University, and between 1995 and 2000 he pursued his PhD there. In 1995 he was awarded MSc in computer science, specializing in the development and analysis of algorithms.
In 2002 he obtained PhD of mathematical sciences in the field of computer science at Wrocław University.
In 2000-2001 he was a research assistant at the Institute of Mathematics, the University of Opole. In October 2001 he started work at the Institute of Mathematics, Faculty of Fundamental Problems of Technology, where he was part of a computer science team, which was later transformed into the Department of Computer Science at the same Faculty.

Earlier she worked at the Department of Applied Computer Science. In 1992, she graduated from the Faculty of Computer Science and Management, specializing in Software Engineering, while in 1997 she was awarded PhD degree in technical sciences.
She has been an Assistant Professor at the Department of Applied Computer Science for more than 20 years.
As a valued academic teacher, she was repeatedly awarded with the rector's (2010-2017, 2019-20) and dean's awards (2018), the Bronze Medal for Long-term Service (2008) and the Golden Badge of Wrocław University of Science and Technology (2011). In 2019, she received the Medal of the National Education Commission.
In addition, between 2014 and 2016 she was a member of a team for supplying the IT department with the content of the curriculum in mathematics and physics at the 1st and 2nd cycle studies. She was former deputy chair of the Department of Software Engineering in 2016-2019, the dean's representative for the field of Computer Science and Applied Computer Science in 2016-2021, member of the Program Committee of the Field of Computer Science in 2013-20, member of the Program Committee of the Field of Applied Computer Science in 2020-21, member of the Faculty Committee for Quality Assurance and Assessment in 2016-2021, member of the Council of the Faculty of Computer Science and Management in 2016-20, and member of the W8 Faculty Consultative Board in 2020-21.
Professionally, she is interested in broadly understood software engineering and knowledge engineering.
On the other hand, privately, she likes hiking, biking and – as she says about herself – she "devours" books.
