The elections to the 71 Scientific Committees of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) for the 2024-2027 term have ended. The selected experts include scientists representing our Faculty.

PAN committees represent various scientific communities and disciplines at the national level. Their members are elected by the scientific communities of specific fields. In addition to members of the Polish Academy of Sciences, they include scientists from other research institutes and universities unrelated to the Academy, as well as representatives of economic and social institutions and organizations.

The committees act as advisory and consultative bodies. They produce scientific and expert opinions for the state administration and help in solving specific scientific issues. They also provide opinions on normative acts relating to science, its applications and education. They also disseminate and implement research results and support the development of individual disciplines.
