Top fields of study

The ranking of the best fields of study in Poland listed a total of 23 fields from our university. For the ninth consecutive year, civil engineering was ranked first (Faculty of Civil Engineering), while our chemical and process engineering (Faculty of Chemistry) is the leader in Poland for the third consecutive year.

All graduates of our civil engineering are perfectly prepared to work in such important areas as housing, aquatic, ground and underground construction as well as transport-related construction. The completion of any of the three specialisations (Civil Engineering, Geotechnics and Hydrotechnics, Construction Engineering) provides the necessary basis for the graduates to obtain appropriate professional qualifications in construction.

Graduates from this field of study can work as construction site managers or engineers, or work in construction and design offices in the field of designing public and industrial facilities and transport infrastructure.

Chemical and process engineering, on the other hand, is a field for people who want to learn how to design equipment, processes and technological lines. Graduates of this field are able to supervise and control installations in the chemical, energy, food and pharmaceutical industries. All of it based on sustainable technology.

In this field, we prepare our students to work in research laboratories, using modern equipment and in design offices, using professional computer software. A large part of the offered courses are available in English.

Mining and geology and environmental engineering ranked second in the list. The third places were taken by: architecture, biotechnology, technical physics, mechanics and machine construction, computer science, materials engineering, mechatronics and chemical technology.

The recruitment window will be open at Wrocław University of Science and Technology until 10 July. There are 7,363 places waiting for candidates in the first degree studies alone. Details at rekrutacja.pwr.edu.pl.
