The Solvro Student Research Club has just released Testownik – a web application which aims to facilitate learning. The site allows you to create quizzes with your own questions and solve them, as well as track progress with clear statistics. The creators assure that with Testownik, exam sessions will no longer be a nightmare. Over just the first two days, nearly 900 people visited the Testownik app.

Tests, assignments, exams, and projects. For students, the session time means evenings with books and piles of notes. It is crucial to organise learning and efficiently review the material. The Testownik app can help quickly and conveniently consolidate knowledge.

– The idea for the app came to me while I was studying for the exam in the previous session. I was looking for the best option to review the material more comfortably. I decided to create a simple application that allowed me to do this. Instead of sitting with a book and a lot of text, we have a quiz. If I give an incorrect answer, I can schedule several extra repetitions of the question so as to remember what the correct answer is – says Antoni Czaplicki, who gave the idea for and supervised the development of Testownik.

– It turned out great, a lot of people on my course used it. So I decided it was worth developing this application further. And this is how we developed an entire educational platform which allows users to create their own questions, solve quizzes made from them, connect with the USOS system, and calculate the average grades – he adds.

Testownik is a simple and intuitive tool. The application allows sets of questions to be shared with others – even with all students in the field of study. It also offers the option of solving tasks together.

– If I notice an error in the question, I can report it. The author then receives a message, and if they correct it, it is immediately corrected for everyone – explains Czaplicki.

For each task, there is an option to ask ChatGPT for assistance in explaining why a given answer is correct. The application also keeps statistics, so you can check your progress.

All hands on deck!

Testownik was launched by the Solvro Student Research Club. This is where Antoni Czaplicki turned for help with his idea.

– He came basically with a ready-made solution. In a week, everyone at Solvro buckled down. We helped to add some functionalities, rebranded the app, set it on our domains and servers, and prepared a promotion – says Dawid Linek, president of Solvro.

– It's a bullseye, especially during exam season. Antoni just nailed it. I can see for myself that with this app, it was much easier to study for some exams – adds Linek.

Not the first application

Solvro has been supporting students for years by creating innovative and free applications. One of them is ToPWR – an information system supporting students at our University with their daily routines. The application integrates many functions, such as a day countdown to the exam session, an interactive campus map, the number of available parking spaces, as well as information about dean's offices, student clubs, and organisations.

Members of the club have also developed PromoCHATor. It's a very useful tool that assists university students in choosing the perfect supervisor based on their interests and topics.

Solvro is a strategic club

Solvro has recently won the title of a Strategic Research Club at WUST 2025. The award went to seven clubs from our University, including two from our Faculty.

Strategic Research Clubs have been nominated at WUST since 2017. The competition is intended to recognise organisations with particular achievements and significant development potential. Such student clubs which implement key, innovative projects.

The „strategic" title allows them to finance their activities with additional University's funding which is much greater than the society would be able to secure from their department.
