Krzysztof Brzostowski, PhD, DSc, professor at WUST, received a Promotion Award in the 26th Siemens Competition for his habilitation thesis entitled: "A series of thematically related publications on signal processing algorithms in stream data fusion". Congratulations!

Prof. Krzysztof BrzostowskiProf. Krzysztof Brzostowski graduated from the Faculty of Electronics, WUST, in 2003. In 2009, he defended his doctorate at the Faculty of Computer Science and Management, and in 2021 he obtained the habilitated doctor degree. Since that year, he has held the position of university professor.

The scientific interests of the researcher are related to the methods of non-linear signal processing, time-frequency methods of signal representation, sparse techniques and models, and fusion of data streams. In turn, the main applications of the research conducted by prof. Brzostowski, are in signal and medical image processing systems as well as in inertial navigation techniques.
He is a regular reviewer of scientific journals such as IEEE Transactions on Instrumentation and Measurement, Biomedical Signal Processing and Control, ISA Transactions, IEEE Access.

Krzysztof Brzostowski is the author of the monograph "The use of signal processing in stream data fusion," which was published by the WUST publishing house and which was awarded at the 14th Academia book fair.

There are three categories of prizes in the Siemens Prize Competition organized by the Warsaw University of Technology:
1) Siemens Research Award for particularly valuable research results that can be applied in practice, amounting to PLN 40,000 zloty.
