Our scientific clubs presented themselves during the Student Activity Days 2024. The event was attended by 70 student research clubs and organizations from the University. Visitors could become introduced to both well-known and newly proposed research clubs, take part in the competitions organised by the clubs and also choose to join them.
The Student Activity Days (DAS) at Wrocław University of Science and Technology have been the largest event at our University for years, promoting the activities of student research clubs and organizations. They always take place twice a year: in March and October, and each time students prove that studying at Wrocław University of Science and Technology is just the right time to make your dreams come true, develop your passions and implement your ideas.
– I am very glad that we are meeting in such large numbers today. So many student research groups and organizations at DAS show how much you are involved in the life of the University – said Dr. Piotr Górski vice-rector for student affairs, during the opening of the event. – I would like to thank everyone who supports student activity on a daily basis, because it is our showcase. We use every opportunity to boast about the projects carried out by our students and we can see how they are a magnet for young people who want to start studying at Wrocław University of Science and Technology in the future.
Szymon Łakomy, chairman of the WUST Student Government, wished everyone taking part in DAS to continue to be an inspiration for the entire University community and be constantly involved in its life.
– By participating in organizations and scientific circles, you not only support the University and attract new students, but you also develop yourself and your colleagues – said Szymon Łakomy.
The TK Games Research Club is known to all fans of computer and board games. On Thursday, they presented their most recent projects.
– Our stand is getting bigger with each DAS. Since the last semester, our board games section has been very active, and we are also one of the few clubs with a didactic profile. We provide a lot of game design and game development courses in the Unity engine. We are currently starting new projects, and recruitment is open all the time, so it is never too late to join us – says Bartłomiej Gawryszuk, president of TK Games..
