Participants of the „Erasmus+ Study in Europe” meeting shared practical information and experiences gained during their studies and internships in various countries.
What does Erasmus+ offer and how to use it effectively for developing professional careers? These were, among others, the topics discussed during a meeting held on Thursday, 12 December in the Student Culture Zone. The meeting was hosted by Prof. Kamil Staniec, vice-rector for education and by Prof. Katarzyna Chojnacka, vice-rector for cooperation with the environment. During the meeting, our Faculty was represented by the dean's representatives for the Erasmus+ program: Dr. Dariusz Caban and Dr. Agnieszka Indyka-Piasecka. The program was also presented by Jakub Zieliński from the National Agency for the Erasmus+ Programme and the European Solidarity Corps.
The first part of the meeting was focused on student trips, the second part – on staff trips, and the third part – on the chances offered by the Unite! alliance, which our University joined at the end of 2021. Members of the panel discussed, among others, about the recruitment process, the upcoming dates, and about the available locations. They also shared their personal experiences from Erasmus trips and offered advice on how to choose the receiving university, how to most effectively use the chances coming with studies abroad, as well as what trainings and lectures the staff may appreciate in foreign institutions. The topics also included the difficulties that the program participants face. There was a consensus about one thing: it is worth taking part in the Erasmus+ program and living an adventure it offers.
