ZPI-Day is an initiative dedicated to students of the last semester in the field of Applied Computer Science. This year's edition on 13 December was attended by almost 200 students and 40 instructors, who presented the results of their team projects.
ZPI-Day is the culmination of students Team Engineering Projects. The conference combines elements of scientific presentations, a poster exhibition and networking. Its main goal is to promote student achievements, but it is also an opportunity to obtain opinions and feedback from experts.
The event took place on 13 December in rooms 201 and 205 in building C-1. It was opened by Prof. Andrzej Kucharski, dean of our Faculty and by the organizer of the event, Dr. Krystian Wojtkiewicz from the Department of Applied Computer Science.
All teams took part in the poster session, and the best team also had the opportunity to present their project in the form of a multimedia presentation. Presentations during the ZPI-Day were delivered by the 14 best teams, formed by third-year students of Applied Computer Science. The selected teams and a description of their projects can be found on the event's website.
The students' projects included the following basic elements:
• Abstract – a concise summary of the project, containing the most important information about its purpose, scope, implementation methods and expected effects.
• Article – contains a detailed description of the methodology, obtained results and their interpretation.
• Poster – a visual presentation of the project, which presents its most important aspects in an attractive way.
