On 17 March 2025, a seminar was held in the discipline of Information and Communication Technology. The topics included 6G transmission. This was the second seminar organised this month.
The seminar took place in room 41 of building C-4. It started at 1:15 p.m. The speaker was Prof. Rui Dinis from NOVA University Lisbon in Portugal. He delivered a lecture titled "Achieving High Power Efficiency with Variable Envelope Signals". One of the topics he discussed was the evolution from 4G to 6G.
The ICT Scientific Discipline Councilis chaired by Prof. Wojciech Bożejko, head of the Department of Control Systems and Mechatronics. It was the fifth seminar in his tenure. Scientific Discipline Councils are organs entitled to award the scientific degrees of doctor and habilitated doctor.
The next Information and Communication Technology seminar will be held on 2 April 2025 at 11:15 a.m. in room 41 of building C-4. The lecture titled "Generalisation of high-dimensional representations learned by deep neural networks – or the threats associated with AI methods in the face of rapid progress" will be delivered by Prof. Henryk Maciejewski from the Department of Technical Computer Science.
