Announcement on the university’s mode of operation: remote learning starting January 3

Date: 21.12.2021 Category: General

In view of the difficult epidemic situation, the university’s Rector, Prof. Arkadiusz Wójs, has decided that from January 3, 2022, until the end of the winter semester, classes will only be held remotely.

Dear Staff, Students, and Doctoral Students,

I wish to inform you that due to the current epidemic and the threat posed by the emergence of a new variant of coronavirus – following consultation with experts and in agreement with the Deans and the students’ self-governing union – I have decided to change the way classes are conducted at the university.

From January 3 until the end of the winter semester, courses at Wrocław University of Science and Technology will be delivered exclusively remotely. Also, credits will be obtained, and examinations will be taken on a remote basis. The mode of defending students’ theses – on-site or remote – remains at their discretion. The relevant internal directive will be issued in the coming
days.

I ask and call on you all: become vaccinated, take care of yourselves, and protect your family members. Regardless of the difficult external circumstances, and even despite them, I wish you health, peace, and safety for the coming Christmas time and the entire New Year.

Prof. Arkadiusz Wójs,
Rector
