After more than ten years, a WUST representative again won a medal of the Polish Academic Championships in snowboarding. A student from our Faculty – Konrad Bik won a silver medal during the competition in Szczawnica. Congratulations!
Our representative was second in the Banked Slalom competition – a race on a track full of bands, moguls and other obstacles. Konrad Bik won the qualifying rounds, and in the final he lost to Andrzej Smerczyński from the Cracow University of Economics by only two hundredths of a second.
The WUST representatives in table tennis can also be proud of their successes. Jakub Krzywniak won in the men's competition of the third tournament held as part of the Lower Silesian Inter-University League. Jakub Krzywniak, who is a student of the Faculty of Management, thus secured himself the first position in the general classification of the league and largely contributed to the WUST team winning the team classification. Now our players are preparing for the semi-finals of the Polish Academic Championship, which will be held in Wrocław.
It is also worth mentioning that our basketball players easily defeated the team of the University of Wrocław twice in the play-off phase (97-61 and 90-43) and are now awaiting their opponents in the finals. The match for the first place will be played on 23 March.
