Miłosz Chojecki From Our Faculty Member of the National Academic Representation

Miłosz Chojecki from our Faculty and two other WUST students qualified for the 4th edition of the National Academic Representation project. It is a chance for them to combine their sports career with studies.

In the fourth edition of the program, this form of support was given to students from 27 public and 4 private universities. Our University is represented by: archer Miłosz Chojecki, epee fencer Zofia Janelli and wrestler Zofia Polowczyk.

As part of the „National Academic Representation" project, funding is provided for organizing additional classes for students pursuing a sports career. The study program is followed in the form of individual organization of studies from November 2023 to June 2024 in accordance with the planned number of additional hours for a given student.

The program, financed by the Ministry of Education and Science, is open to public and private universities with at least 200 full-time students who include Olympic training athletes, medallists of the Olympic Games, European Games, World Senior Championships and European Senior Championships, International Student's Olympics and Academic World Championships and student-athletes with disabilities, including hearing-impaired people and student-athletes with both national and international championship sport classes.

Miłosz Chojecki

third-year student of algorithmic computer science at the Faculty of Information and Communication Technology

Miłosz has been a member of the national team since 2017, and a member of the senior national team since 2021. He is a multi-medallist in the Polish Olympic Archery Championships and a participant in numerous international competitions such as the World Championships, European Championships and World Cups.

Zofia Janelli

third-year architecture student at the Faculty of Architecture

Epee fencer On a daily basis she trains at the AZS Wratislavia club. Her greatest successes include: individual 1st place at the National Youth Olympics, third place at the Polish Senior Championships, and second place as a team at the Junior European Championships in Poreč. She also took third places at the European Cadet Championships in Foggia, the Cadet World Championships in Toruń and the Junior World Championships in Cairo.

This year, her trophies include second place as a team at the European Youth Championships in Budapest, gold medal at the Polish Academic Championships in Warsaw and first place at the Polish Youth Championships in Warsaw.

Zofia Polowczyk

third-year student of geodesy and cartography at the Faculty of Geoengineering, Mining and Geology

Wrestler She has been training since she was six years old. In 2021, she won a silver medal at the Polish Junior Championships, and in 2022 she won this competition in the class of up to 65 kg. At the beginning of June 2022, she won the bronze medal at the Polish Senior Championships in the up to 68 kg category.

Moreover, she won the Polish Academic Championships in 2023, won a silver medal at the Polish Senior Championships in 2023 and bronze at the European Junior Championships in 2022. Currently, she is in the youth team and competes in the categories up to 65 kg or 68 kg.
