The first two places were taken by our Filip Janas and Mateusz Kula. The race was also attended by, among others, Prof. Paweł Wachel, vice-dean for student affairs, and the chairman of our student self-government, Szymon Matyja. Congratulations!
The competitors had to run a distance of six kilometres. The route prepared by the School of Physical Education and Sport led traditionally from the H-14 building, through the Zwierzyniecki Bridge, along the embankments behind the ZOO to the scout station and back to the campus.
The fastest person to complete the run was our Faculty's student Filip Janas (time 16:40). The second place was taken by Mateusz Kula, also from our Faculty (17:24), and the third place went to Jonasz Szewc from the Faculty of Fundamental Problems of Technology (17:32). The race was also attended for the first time by Prof. Paweł Wachel, vice-dean for student affairs, and the chairman of our student self-government, Szymon Matyja.
The competitors were students, employees, WUST graduates, as well as students from the WUST Academic High School. Some of the competitors were also military personnel from Wrocław Regional Computer Science Centre.
Other people to take part in the race were students who took part in the qualifying rounds of the First-Year Student Games – 18 students representing various universities in the region.
In the women's category, the winner was Anna Klatka from the Karkonosze Academy of Applied Sciences in Jelenia Góra (20:23), who beat Monika Bereźnicka from the Faculty of Chemistry (20:23) and Marta Frąckowiak from the Faculty of Chemistry (21:12).
