Our Student Best in Language Games

olimpiada_pwr_2025_ang.jpgOur student Adam Broszkiewicz won the first place in the 26th National English Language Games for Technical Universities. WUST representatives took the entire podium, with Maksymilian Siergiej – also studying at our Faculty – in the third place. Congratulations!

The Olympics were held in two stages. Nearly 600 participants from 15 Polish technical universities took part in the eliminations. 73 of the best male and female students qualified for the finals.

During the two-day finals held at Poznań University of Technology, they first faced a language test and a presentation on one of three selected topics. The ten contestants who achieved the best results qualified for the final round, where two five-member teams participated in an Oxford-style debate "Space Exploration in the 21st Century: Global Opportunities and Challenges Their performance was evaluated by an inter-university jury composed of lecturers from several leading foreign language teaching centres in Poland.

Ultimately, WUST students proved to be unrivalled, taking all the three places on the podium. Adam Broszkiewicz from our Faculty was the best, Nina Janik from the Faculty of Mechanical and Power Engineering came second, and Maksymilian Siergiej, also from our Faculty, took third place. Additionally, our student Aleksandra Pawelec secured the tenth place. Congratulations!
