The WUST team did a great job during the finals of the National English Language Olympiad for Technical University Students. Olaf Sujata was second and Anton Tustanowski – seventh. Congratulations!
The 24th edition of the English Language Olympiad of Technical University Students was organized by the Centre of Languages and Communication at Poznań University of Technology on Sunday, 23 April. The nationwide event was attended by representatives of the largest national universities.
The eliminations for the finals took place at the Department of Foreign Languages, WUST, on 13 January. A total of 33 students took part in them, and the best nine qualified for the second stage, which was held in Poznań.
The finals was a competition between 10 best students, and Wrocław University of Science and Technology was represented by four students. The best performer was Olaf Sujata (Faculty of Information and Communication Technology), who took second place. The third place on the podium went to Marta Ostrowska (Faculty of Mechanical and Power Engineering), while Natalia Czyżyk (Faculty of Management) was fourth, and Anton Tustanowski (Faculty of Information and Communication Technology) – seventh.
The final competition was held in the form of an Oxford debate focused on topics related to science and popular science.
