Date: 31.10.2025 Category: General

kn_neuron1.jpgOur Strategic „Neuron” Neuroinformatics Student Research Club received funding from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education. Congratulations! Ministerial funds also went to two other student research clubs at WUST. The total financial support comes to over 720,000 PLN. The funds can be used for participating in international competitions and conferences.

The „Neuron” Neuroinformatics Student Research Club received nearly 57,000 PLN for the project „Attensifier", which aims to create an innovative therapeutic system based on neurofeedback in a virtual reality (VR) environment. The plans include sending students to international events so that they can follow global trends and verify solutions in an expert environment.

The Neuron club members organise, among others, various hackathons, lectures popularising neuroscience, and they also work on projects based on the use of brain-computer interfaces.

dawit_foto_2024-25copp.jpgSo far, they have developed, among other things, the „Neurofiszka" application to support foreign language learning and have completed the scientific project „Neurocall", in which they investigated the possibility of controlling a mobile application using a BCI (Brain-Computer Interface).

The largest funding at our university – almost PLN 450,000 – went to the WUST in Space Student Research Club operating at the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering. Its members are planning to spend them on participating in a series of international conferences and competitions in the space sector.

Over PLN 210,000 was received by the Jetstream Academic Aviation Club at WUST (Faculty of Mechanical and Power Engineering) for a series of trips to the international SAE Aero Design 2026 competition for young engineers in the United States and the Air Cargo Challenge 2026 in Germany.

Ministerial grants were awarded under the program „Support for students in enhancing their competencies and skills". In total, the Ministry of Science and Higher Education allocated PLN 27.5 million for student activities.
