67 staff members from our University, including 6 from our Faculty, received the Crosses of Merit and Medals for Long Service – decorations awarded by the President of the Republic of Poland. They were presented on Friday, 11th April 2025, during a ceremony in building H-14. Congratulations!
The Cross of Merit is a distinction awarded for self-sacrificing public activity, for self-sacrificing help and for charity work. It is awarded to persons whose actions exceed the scope of their normal duties and bring a significant benefit to the state or its citizens.
The award is divided into three degrees: Gold, Silver and Bronze Cross of Merit. Dr. Maciej Huk from our Faculty received the Bronze Cross of Merit.
Medals for Long Service are awarded as a reward for exemplary, exceptionally conscientious performance of duties resulting from professional work. The award is divided into three degrees: a gold medal is awarded for 30 years of service, a silver one for 20 and a bronze one for 10. A total of twenty gold medals, twenty silver medals, and twenty-six bronze medals were awarded during the ceremony. Five of all them were awarded to the employees of our Faculty.
