How to build resilience to technological and social changes in the digital world – this was the main topic of the CyberTrust Congress 2025 congress held at Wroclaw University of Science and Technology. Our Faculty was one of the organizers of this two-day event dedicated to the future of cybersecurity.
It was opened by Prof. Tadeusz Więckowski, head of the Department of Telecommunications and ICT at vice-chairman of the program committee. The former rector of our university reminded us that the CyberTrust event was organized owing to the initiative and involvement of the Technologies in Public Safety Macrocluster.
– The program committee ensured that all congress participants could not only expand their competencies with valuable knowledge from outstanding cybersecurity experts but also share their own experiences – said Prof. Tadeusz Więckowski.
During the two-day congress held on October 7-8 at the WUST Congress Centre, leaders from science, business, and public administration institutions had the opportunity to explore practical aspects of cybersecurity, among others, in the financial, public, telecommunications and healthcare sectors.

The event organizers included: our Faculty, Marshal's Office of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, City of Wrocław, Western Chamber of Commerce – Entrepreneurs and Employers, and ISSA Poland.
The program included discussions on how institutions and societies can respond to dynamic changes in law and technology, and to digital threats. There were plenty of debates about emerging technologies, innovative solutions, and current research and development projects in the field of cybersecurity. Stress was also placed on real-life crisis situations.
The event was held under the honorary patronage of the Minister of Science and Higher Education, the Office of Electronic Communications, the Marshal of the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, the Mayor of Wrocław, NASK, the Rector of Wrocław University of Science and Technology, and the Association of Polish Cities.
