Third Edition of the WITKoN Conference

The third WITKoN Conference of Student Research Clubs and Active Students took place on Tuesday, 12 May, 2026. The event, organised by the Faculty Student Government, as well as by the Solvro, TK Games, and Algo research clubs, included lectures and a networking session.
The WITKoN conference was organised by students representing the Student Government, as well as the Solvro, TK Games and Algo research clubs. The main idea of the event is to create a conference where student research clubs operating at our Faculty can get to know each other better, present their projects, and discuss possibilities of cooperation.
The event began at 9:00 a.m. in building D-21, room 201 (the Open Study Zone). For seven hours, participants could listen to lectures prepared by members of research clubs operating at our Faculty. Students presented their projects, talked about the activities undertaken in the clubs, and shared knowledge and experience gained while working on their own initiatives.

The WITKoN conference was also visited by Prof. Andrzej Kucharski, the dean of the Faculty, who expressed his gratitude to the students behind this initiative, for their engagement and readiness to share the effects of their work.

The program of the event included presentations about the construction of devices communicating with KNX, the “The Blind” project, artistic approaches to level and game design, AI training in Unreal Engine, machine learning in player classification, Duolingo mechanisms, control algorithms in magnetic railway systems or the “Rail” project. There were also coffee breaks for integration.
Our research clubs are involved in, among other things, software, quantum computing, application and computer game development, and artificial intelligence. You can find more information about the event in the dedicated tab on the Faculty's website.
