The Second „WITKoN” Student Research Clubs and Active Students Conference took place on Tuesday, 15 April 2025. The event programme included 3 networking sessions and 11 lectures, as well as presentations of the clubs and their achievements.
The conference was organised byWITKoNu students representing the WIT Student Self-Government, as well as the research clubs Solvro and the TK Games. „The idea was very simple: to arrange a place and time for the Faculty's clubs to get together. The goal was to get to know each other and establish cooperation, perhaps to create joint projects. So that we could represent our Faculty as a united group of research clubs. We proudly put on display our achievements, talk about our experiences, and integrate – explains Bartłomiej Gawryszuk, the president of the TK Games student research club and one of the organisers of WITKoN.
The conference was attended by Prof. Andrzej Kucharski, dean of the Faculty. – I congratulate you on your initiative and thank you for sharing what you do,” emphasised the Dean. The invited guests included Prof. Paweł Wachel, vice-dean for student affairs. – I am pleased that you are meeting for the second time and that you want to share your knowledge – he said.
Currently, there are 26 student research organisations at our Faculty, including two strategic ones. –About ten new research clubs were launched at our Faculty over the past year and a half. We are really active and diverse in this field –notes Wiktor Sadowy from the Faculty's Student Self-Government, who is the main coordinator of WITKoN.
Our research clubs are involved in, among other things, software, quantum computing, application and computer game development, and artificial intelligence. You can find more information about them in the dedicated section on the Faculty's website.
