At the World Games in Chengdu, our country was represented by 198 people who competed in thirteen out of eighteen disciplines. The results of our athletes can be followed on the website of the Academic Sports Association.

The event was originally scheduled to take place in 2021 in Yekaterinburg, Russia. The date had to be postponed to 2022 due to the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. However, as a result of the Russian aggression in Ukraine, the International University Sports Federation (FISU) revoked Russia's rights to organize the summer university games. The new host was Chinese Chengdu. The competition ended on 8 August.
