The eGov-Sol project (Secure and AI-Enabled eGovernment Systems Engineering), led by Dr. Krystian Wojtkiewicz from the Department of Applied Computer Science, received funding under the program Erasmus Mundus Design Measures. Wrocław Tech, as the coordinator of an international consortium will prepare a master's study programme on digital administration.

European Commission has recognized 50 projects under the Erasmus Mundus Design Measures program. One of them is eGov-Sol (Secure and AI-Enabled eGovernment Systems Engineering), developed by an international team led by Dr. Krystian Wojtkiewicz from the Department of Applied Computer Science at our Faculty.

Wrocław University of Science and Technology will coordinate the project. The consortium also involves Universidad Politécnica de Madrid, University College Dublin, and International University in Ho Chi Minh City.

A study program for digital administration

The aim of the project is to develop an innovative international master's study programme that will educate specialists in designing, implementing, and securing modern e-administration systems using artificial intelligence.

“Together we will prepare a master's programme dedicated to designing, implementing, and securing e-administration systems based on artificial intelligence,” says Dr. Krystian Wojtkiewicz, project coordinator.

The programme is to combine topics from the fields of software engineering, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, public administration, and legal regulations related to digital transformation.

The future study programme will also, importantly, be international. It will be based on the potential and experience of all the partner universities, taking into account student mobility and common education standards.

Preparations for the shared study programme

The project starts on 1 September 2026 and will last 15 months. At this time, the partners will develop the study programme and organizational solutions necessary to launch joint studies.

“We will develop the study programme, student mobility plan, quality assurance system, principles of cooperation between universities, and assumptions for future accreditation,” adds Dr. Wojtkiewicz.

These materials will serve as the basis for applying for funding under the Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters, which would enable the launch of a joint study programme by the consortium universities.

The eGov-Sol project enhances the international cooperation of Wrocław University of Science and Technology in the areas of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and digital public administration. It is also another step towards creating a modern study programme that meets the challenges associated with the digital transformation of the public sector.
