Our Solvro Student Research Club was among the six organisations which, in 2026, will be allowed to use the title “Strategic Research Club at Wrocław University of Science and Technology”. The winners are organisations whose activities cover key research areas of Wrocław University of Science and Technology. Congratulations!

The “Strategic Student Research Clubs at WUST” competition has been held since 2017. It identifies organisations with exceptional achievements and strong development potential that carry out key, innovative projects. Being designated as “strategic” allows them to obtain additional funding from the University for their activities.

– Organisations entering the competition had to complete a detailed application form describing, among other things, their previous achievements and plans for the coming year, and then successfully pass both formal and content-related evaluation – says Katarzyna Szybalska, Head of the Student Organisations Support Section. – Finally, all 12 clubs presented themselves to the members of the competition committee.

When evaluating the clubs, the committee took into account many factors: publications, research, and innovations carried out by the clubs; effectiveness in acquiring external funding; social activities and initiatives for students; organisation of and participation in various events; awards; activities promoting the University; and the diligence shown in preparing the application.

This year, the committee decided to award the title of a strategic club to six organisations. Among them are our representatives:

Solvro Student Research Club

Members of the club plan to maintain, develop, and integrate key digital systems that support students of Wrocław University of Science and Technology as part of a student life digitalisation project. This includes the development of the campus application ToPWR, the Planer class scheduling tool, the Eventownik event management system, and the Testownik quiz platform.

They also plan to develop tools based on large language models (LLMs), including PromoCHATor and the ToPWR Knowledge Graph. The club intends to actively participate in prestigious international and national industry events, conduct research and implementation work in the field of AI and ML, and organise open courses and workshops.
