We know the results of this year's edition of the CreatiWITy competition. Aleksandra Walczybok is the author of the best engineering thesis. In the category of team engineering project, the first place went to the authors of the VocalizeR project – Mateusz Dejewski, Michał Kałuski, Tymoteusz Kołaczek, Michał Maksanty.

Engineering theses

The CreatiWITy competition committee selected the winners of this year's edition after individual presentations of projects qualified for the final stage.

First place was awarded to Aleksandra Walczybok for her engineering thesis titled “Machine Learning Methods in the Design and Implementation of a System Supporting the Analysis of Cytological Preparations”.

Second place in the CreatiWITy competition went to Wiktoria Mróz with her engineering thesis “Prototype of a System for Analysis and Correction of Sitting Posture.” Izabela Paniczek took third place with her thesis “Development of a System for Analysing the Authenticity of Voice Recordings”.

Among the distinguished students was also Ewa Kasprzak, author of the thesis “Implementation of Selected Methods for Solving the Three-Body Problem”.

Team projects

The teams that qualified for the final stage of the CreatiWITy competition presented their projects and answered questions from the jury. The winning project was VocalizeR, developed by the students: Mateusz Dejewski, Michał Kałuski, Tymoteusz Kołaczek, Michał Maksanty.

VocalizeR is an innovative web application enabling the creation of music using the human voice – through humming, singing, or other vocal forms.

The runner-up team consisted of Tomasz Jaskólski, Tomasz Milewski, Tymoteusz Lango, Michał Górniak with their project “FUJI – A Mobile Application Supporting the Learning of Japanese Language Along With Kanji and Kana Characters”. Third place went to Krzysztof Kulka, Mikołaj Kubsi, Martyna Łopaniak and Patryk Łuszczko – authors of the project “Larvixon”.

A special distinction was also awarded to the team consisting of Katarzyna Jaroszyńska, Jakub Moszyński, Kacper Pytkiewicz, Maciej Zawrzykraj.

The winners were selected by two competition committees. Each consisted of six members, including two scientists from our Faculty and representatives from the following companies: NiceProject, Schaeffler, SoftServe, Nokia and Spyrosoft.
