The winners of the fourth edition of the university’s Secundus competition have been announced. One hundred young researchers from Wrocław Tech boasting the highest total points for their published work were recognised in thirteen categories.

Hubert Burzynski – studies applied computer science at our Faculty. He is a software developer by profession. In his free time, he leads the volleyball section at Wrocław University of Science and Technology, and is also... a professional illusionist

Twenty researchers, including three from our Faculty, received their habilitation degree at Wrocław University of Science and Technology in the years 2022-23.

Doctoral degrees were awarded during a ceremony at WUST to 124 people, including 12 from our Faculty. The event in the auditorium hall of the main building was chaired by the rector of the University, Prof. Arkadiusz Wójs.

Dr. Maciej Gębala and Dr. Eng. Marcin Markowski were appointed University Professors by the rector of Wrocław University of Science and Technology. Congratulations!

What are the actual public feelings in a particular city, what attracts attention and what discourages followers, what information raises and what information lowers the level of hate?

A record number of young people from all over Poland visited our Faculty. As part of the Open Day, they were welcome by lecturers and students from student government and scientific clubs.

99 WUST employees, including 8 from our Faculty, were awarded decorations by the President of the Republic of Poland. The Crosses of Merit and Medals for Long Service were presented during a special ceremony in the H-14 building.

Crisis Detector is a tool which allows an early detection of an image crisis. It is being developed by scientists from our Faculty, and more specifically, from the Department of Artificial Intelligence.

After more than ten years, a WUST representative again won a medal of the Polish Academic Championships in snowboarding. A student from our Faculty – Konrad Bik won a silver medal during the competition in Szczawnica. Congratulations!
