In December, students of the Applied Computer Science held the next edition of ZPI-Day – an annual team project conference. During the event, the jury chose three best projects out of 34 proposals.

Prof. Maciej Zięba from the Department of Artificial Intelligence gave a speech titled “Normalising Flows – Fundamental Concepts and Applications in Counterfactual Explanation".

Our Solvro student research club was among the six organisations which, in 2026, will be allowed to use the title “Strategic Research Club at Wrocław University of Science and Technology”. Congratulations!

Our graduate, Daria Pietraszko, has become the laureate of the NASK Award for the Best Cybersecurity Thesis. She received the distinction during the 31st ICT Forum organised at the Ministry of Digital Affairs. Congratulations!

Our Neuron Student Research Club organised the second edition of the flagship Neurohackathon “Heroes of the Brain.” The 24-hour event brought together students and technology enthusiasts.

Students from our White Hats Research Club won the first edition of the HackNation hackathon organised by the Ministry of Digital Affairs. The competition gathered one and a half thousand participants from around Poland. Congratulations!

Prof. Tomasz Kajdanowicz, Head of the Department of Artificial Intelligence, received the Lower Silesian Key to Success 2025 in recognition of his outstanding scientific and didactic achievements. Congratulations!

Prof. Michał Przewoźniczek and Prof. Maciej Zięba from our Faculty are among 18 new researchers appointed to Academia Professorum Iuniorum for the 2026-2027 term of office.

Bartłomiej Baut and Daria Pietraszko won the competition for the best thesis in the academic year 2024/2025, organised by the Association of Polish Electrical Engineers. Congratulations!
